Violet Dusk – Seilebost, Isle of Harris
Warming up to Chrimbo, lots on. Still, one of my many inner mantra’s is telling me I must march on with the years photos. I haven’t even started on my wedding and honeymoon shots, poor form! So I’ve just finished this pic whilst surrounded by the remains of last nights dinner party. This was taken at 11.30pm on the mudflats of Luskentyre, Isle of Harris last June. A long exposure was needed, press the shutter, hold and pause – cue some more amazement at the colours and shapes formed by the eternal evening light of summer in the outer reaches of North West Scotland. Guess I shouldn’t spoil that by mentioning the midges. The midges, the midges, damn you the midges….
