Learning retouching has been taking a big step forwards in the past few weeks, particularly since I hauled out the wacom tablet from storage. I originally bought my tablet a couple of years ago, but in all honesty it hadn’t seen much use (mostly laziness on my part). I must say, it really is essential kit if your going to get serious about retouching portraits, using techniques such as healing on skin. I’ve suffered RSI in the past and the pen is really so much less painful to use than a mouse. Anyway – I’ve also been out in the parkland a bit with my partner shooting some personal portraits of us both, which has been fun. Spring is in the air! Finally – I spent last weekend on the Kent coast and caught the ‘supermoon’ last Saturday – though I wasn’t on the beach to shoot the moon, I had something else entirely in mind! more on that to come soon.
